Resources for Celebrating the Rorate Mass in the Ordinary Form

The Rorate Mass is a Solemn Votive Mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrated in Advent. It is traditionally celebrated by candlelight on the high altar, and sung in Gregorian Chant. The sky is dawning just as it finishes. This is to symbolize the coming of Christ, the Light of the World.

While it was historically celebrated in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, there is absolutely no reason that it cannot be celebrated in the Ordinary Form using licit Mass options to bring it in line with how it was customarily celebrated.

Here are some of the resources used by an Ordinary Form parish to plan and celebrate this Mass. All are free PDFs.
